The 70’s, 80’s and 90’s were filled with unique fashion trends that everybody experimented with. Some fashion statements, such as platform shoes and blue eyeshadow, deserve to stay in the time period they were created in. However, there are a few lucky trends that have come full circle.

Scrunchies

Popular in the 80’s and 90’s, scrunchies were commonly used to pull hair up instead of a hair tie. Scrunchies get criticized all the time for being ugly or tacky, but in reality, they are better for your hair because they won't pull it out. Also, they come in a variety of sizes, colors, and materials. Chose a smaller size if you are worried people won't appreciate it, or choose a big one for a fashion statement.

Jelly Sandals

Colorful, comfortable, and easy to wear, jelly sandals are back!  Popular in the 90’s, they have somehow snuck their way back into the world of fashion, and just in time for summer. Jelly sandals come in just about every color known to man, from easy to match colors like black and white, to neon yellows and pinks. You can even find them in transparent colors too! Slip them on quickly for a quick errand, or wear them all day at an amusement park, or just walking around town.

Jean Jackets

Do you want to wear a sleeveless shirt, but it's too cold to do so? Try a jean jacket! Jean jackets come in about every color of denim, including white and black. They also come in different styles like long sleeve, half sleeve, and no sleeves. You can even find them with patterns, designs, and studs on them for a bolder look. This popular 90’s style is hopefully here to stay.

Fringe

Popular in the 70’s, fringe was stereotypically worn by a ‘hippie’, and now is worn by just about any stylish lady. Fringe shorts, fringe skirts, fringe shorts, fringe jackets, everything fringe! Fringe is apart of the boho style, and if you ever go to Coachella, be sure to have fringe on just about every outfit.

Jumpsuits

A comfortable alternative to jeans and a tee shirt, a more casual look than a dress, this popular 70’s and 80’s, the jumpsuit has made its way into stores, into our closets, and even our hearts. Coming in pant and short version, they are the perfect option to wear all year round.

Choker Necklaces

Popular in the 90’s, the choker necklace is back! Add it to just about any look to add a sort of edgy, rockstar vibe. Chokers come in all different colors,  depending on the look you are going for. You can even find them with beads and gems for a more boho look. They are a perfect finishing touch to any outfit, and a great alternative to the traditional necklace.

Halter Tops

Yes folks, the popular 90’s halter tops are back, and hopefully here to stay. One of the most versatile style of shirt, they have evolved and are better than ever. You can find halter top dresses, bathing suits, rompers, jumpsuits, fancy ball gowns, just about every style of clothing can also be in halter form.

Turtlenecks

Turtlenecks have been tucked away in closets since the 70’s, and now are finally getting to see the light of day.  You can find a turtleneck in shirt, sweater, or dress form and have become increasingly popular in the fall and winter seasons.
