I can bet that everyone’s wardrobes are currently having some major deja vu. Old trends that are shoved in the back of your closet need to come out. As you read you will notice many styles that you currently see around your school. But did you know that they’ve been around for a long time?

Crop Tops

The crop top is a half-length shirt that anyone can rock. Back in the 90’s this was a huge trend, paired with some jeans and sneakers. Now crop tops go from the classic t-shirt style to a sophisticated, business look.

Plaid Flannels

The plaid flannel is a comfy, button up top. The way it's worn nowadays is very similar to when it was first popular. Worn regular or tied around your waist, and paired with leggings is the way to go.

Choker Necklaces

Choker necklaces are completely back in trend like they used to be. Ranging from plastic, ribbon, and chain, every kind of form fitting necklace is great to wear.

Beach Wave Hair

The beach wave hairstyle is extremely in right now. Loose waves were super common in the 90’s, and are back again. Wearing beach waves with a scrunchy used to be the perfect hairstyle. It's now becoming more popular.

Doc Martens

Doc Martins used to be an everyday shoe. They went out of style for quite a while, and now they're back. The classic black are very popular among teens and young adults currently.

Scrunchies

In the past scrunchies were always worn in your hair. Huge, teased hair was a common style to accessorize with a scrunchy. Presently, girls wear their hair half up half down with the scrunchy, or just around their wrist.

High-Waisted Pants

High-waisted pants are probably the most popular. This type of pants were commonly found in jeans or tights in the 90’s. Currently, you can find almost any type of pant you want high-waisted.

Converse

Converse were another popular brand of shoe, like the Doc Martens. Most commonly worn with an all denim outfit, or a relaxed t-shirt. Now, you could probably count at least twenty people wearing converse at you school everyday!

Army Jackets

Army jackets began to be worn before the 2000’s, and are for sure back in trend. One difference between them though, is that before, they were worn with buttons and pins galore. Now, they're worn plain with new added ties and zippers.

Layered Rings

Like the choker necklace, layering you rings used to be another popular way to accessorize. Stacking more than one ring on you finger adds a more modern look to your style, even though it's an old trend.

As you can see, a lot of old styles are back. This is an awesome thing because experiencing what other people wore a generation ago is pretty cool. As a supporter of old trends, I challenge everyone to look in the back of you or your parents closet. You might find something old but gold.
